News:
Water Polo started last summer at Juniper's old outdoor pool on Mondays.
The sign-ups filled up enough that Wednesday night was added too.
Some of the participants even entered a team in the State Games of Oregon.
A large group of Middle School kids learned how to play.
HS polo in Bend started for the first time last Fall.
Students from Bend, Mt.View, Summit, and La Pine participated.
Some of the Middle School kids practiced in the Fall and played in a Coed
14&U State league. They finished 2nd, despite being most's 1st games.
Assuming the new pool is finished by then, a new club for 14&U's and 18&U's
kids plans to start right after Spring Break for April & May.
There is a monthly tournament in the Valley through early June.
The Bend Metro Park & Rec is working on setting up other programs.
An adult program would be run in coordination with COMA. When the new pool
opens, COMA might start offering a weekly scrimmage time.
There will likely be summer programs on a Rec basis like last summer.
