Letter of application requesting certification as a chartered Local Association
Submitted to the Oregon High School Water Polo Committee (OHSWPC)
... for acceptance at the OHSWPC statewide meeting held May 20, 2009

Proposed Name

Name of the Local Association shall be Central Oregon Water Polo (COWPO)

Reason for Establishment

Statement as to why a Local Association should be established in the area:
1) There was no previous local association in this geographically isolated area
2) A local association can best recruit, train, assign, and supervise local officials
3) Using local officials is a less expensive alternative for the schools and officials
4) Officials cannot always be expected to regularly travel significant distances
5) If OSAA is a guide, they sanction 15 to 17 local associations per team sport

Constitution

By-laws (constitution) adopted by the local association, COWPO, is attached

Others will commit or be recruited once OHSWPC sanctions COWPO

Proposed Schools

Offer to service: Madras, Redmond, Mountian View, La Pine, Summit, Bend
Legally, it is up to the individual school to contract with an association

Study Meetings

Meetings shall be scheduled monthly during the Fall, otherwise bi-monthly
