Hugh and Hannah (McGee) Harkin

Hugh's parents were born in Tullaghobegley Parish, Donegal, Ireland
He had at least one brother, Edward

Married: Nov. 14, 1850 in Mauch Chunk (Jim Thorpe), PA
Best Man: Dennis Gallagher; Maid of Honor: Maria McGee

Per 1900 Census, Hannah emigrated in 1848. Hugh sometime in the 1840's.
Did he use his mother's maiden name "Ferry" when he came to this country?
1860 in Mauch Chunk, they lived next door to John Dugan's family with ..
... both Grace McGee and Daniel Ferry living with them.
My grandmother had told me he had fled the south and changed his name.
They did move to Wilkes-Barre after 1860 census for some reason.

Stone mason by trade and helped build many houses for his children.
His will distributes the remaining houses to his children, plus one to sell.
They lived at 7 Brown Street, renumbered as 11 Brown Street in 1899.
Their grave does not have a headstone, just tree roots. We need to fix that.
