Beaverton/Sunset (combined team)
This was a one game championship per David Douglas and Beaverton records.
Mike Carey said that Rod coached the combined Beaverton/Sunset girls team.
Beaverton Girls finished 5-0 according to Beaverton Valley Times and the Beaverton HS annual.
The team photo includes some girls from Sunset HS as well, per Mike carey.
Water Polo became a full varsity sport in 1975 in the Beaverton School District.
Cottage Grove's Annual shows their girls team as 4-0 that year. The 2 teams did not play each other.
I have not found any records of this girls season. Beaverton played all their games as coed.
The Beaverton HS Yearbook showed the following girls games:
Beaverton Girls 1-0 Sunset (forfeit)
Beaverton Girls 7-6 Forest Grove
Beaverton Girls 4-0 Oregon City (co-ed JV team)
There were 9 girls listed in the Beaverton team picture.
Mike Carey indicated these were a combined Beaverton & Sunset group
I have not found other records of girls games that year.
Oregon Water Polo Club
Mike Carey coached the boys, Rod Harmon coached the girls
Despite being the T. Hills swim coaches, they were not allowed to use the Tualatin Hills name.
