I (Ray) called the scores in by 9pm last night, so they chose to not print it.
Hopefully, they are saving it for tomorrow, so I will send them a write up.
The Final Scores were Summit Boys: 17-10; Mt View Girls 5-0, forfeit.
Summit water polo is the home team, but Bend High kids need to help too.
All Summit Players need to help set up the pool by 6:30pm.
If the pool is properly set up, the boys can start warming up by 7pm.
We need parents as table workers. Thanks to all who learned last night.
All Players need to stay afterward until everything is cleaned up.
As you noticed last night, we have to be out of the building by 10pm.
The more helpful we are, the better our relationship with the facility.
The Boys game will start by 7:30pm and the JV/Girls game will be at 8:30pm.
All boys need to play up to 2 quarters of JV in the 2nd game.
Hopefully, more girls will be interested to join by then.
The Bend and Summit teams play Sprague at the Illahe Hills CC (map) in Salem
The boys will play at 2pm and 4pm, but we're not sure about the details yet.
It's been hard to plan without knowing if there would be a Summit team.
The girls game will be at 3pm between a varsity and JV game.
Calendar Sales: We are selling Bend Calendars on consignment.
We sell them for $15 each. Checks are be made out to Summit HS.
Sorry Sandy (Carter's mom), that I volunteered you to help coordinate this.
If we sell 3-4 boxes, we'll be able to cover your teams referee costs.
Booster Club: This was a tremendous resource for us at Mt View last year.
One parent will need to take the lead on this to contact the booster club.
Sponsorships: Any activitiy needs to be approved by the school, but ...
Brandy Duff (the MV coach's wife) has already had hats donated for all kids.
She has many other ideas and hopefully many of you will too.
When other teams travel to play us late at night, they often need to stay over.
I (Ray) have already volunteered for us to host them like they did last year.
Our 1st need is Friday, Sept 22nd when the South Albany boys play our teams.
This is something I hope all 3 sets of teams can help with, not just Summit.
Fri, Oct 6th: South Salem visits you. Fri, Oct 20th: Sprague visits Mt View.
